We perform specific checks before listing any independent business on our marketplace. You can see exactly which checks have been completed on each engineer's individual profile.
Identity & Business Details
Before a profile is published, we verify the core identity and trading details of the business. This ensures that the businesses listed on the platform represent real, operating entities in the domestic appliance repair sector.
Insurance Evidence
Where businesses provide evidence of Public Liability Insurance, we record this on their profile. We indicate whether insurance documents were checked at the point of their joining the platform.
Profile Transparency
We believe in factual transparency rather than blanket endorsements. Every engineer profile includes a "Checks completed" section detailing exactly what information we have on file for that specific business.
Public Reviews Policy
Reviews are moderated before publication. Reviews marked DEMO are illustrative demonstration content, not genuine customer feedback. Verified-booking reviews will launch with the booking system integration.
Reviews with a "Booking confirmed via platform" badge are from customers whose booking was made through Whitegoods Help booking links. We monitor reviews for abusive language and manipulation, but do not alter the sentiment of customer feedback.
