Absolutely awful experience

“My dishwasher is 5years old and started to leak on the bottom of the door (dripping) The engineer attempted the repair checking the arms seals etc He then explained that it would need new door, maybe spray arms and seal which would be expensive. I may be better buying new machine. When the engineer left I was not able to use the machine as the top spray arm was catching on the top basket. The top tray had broken and a bead from the sliders was in the bottom of the machine. £80 charge and then He said maybe claim off the Hotpoint -010 year warranty. I have photographs if required.”

Con artists

“Spoke on phone, all good, explained to engineer the problem, they said sounds like thermostat. However come for appointment was here 10mins to tell me, can't be repaired and need new fridge freezer. Cost me £80 to be told this, which on the phone I said if they thought couldn't be repaired, would prefer put the money towards a new one. I feel I've been totally ripped off nothing more than con artists”

Let down by this company

“This company advertise same day and next day appointments, so called them up. Booked a dishwasher repair on Thursday 6th June, told it would be Monday10th, in five days time, as they didn’t have anyone until then. Bit disappointing with the wait but accepted the appointment and was told the engineer would be in touch on Friday. Friday came and went called up at 4pm to see what was going on, but the office was closed with an answerphone message. Monday morning 08.45am, phoned to check what time the engineer was coming and they confirmed that the engineer had just read the message and that he would be in touch soon. I asked them if they could call the engineer and ask him to call me so I could organise my day. No call from the engineer by midday, so I called the office again and was put on hold whilst they phoned the engineer, call handler came back and said that ‘the engineer was now sick’ ??? When I questioned why they hadn’t heard from him when he got his works requests at 0845 they just fobbed me off. Obviously this company are trying to run a network of self employed engineers with no controls or care for the customers. Raised this issue with the call handler and she shrugged off any responsibility for my wasted time and expense simply stating ‘you can call someone else if you want to’ and that they wouldn’t offer any compensation or reduced fee for the call out which they offered in a further 2 days time. Will now have to take another day off work. :( No customer care, just an ‘if you don’t like it, lump it attitude.’ Better to book your own engineer directly. Wouldn’t give any stars as they were a complete waste of time and money for me. ——— In response to your automated reply below……. again this shows you would rather tell people that sometimes you can be good, without even taking the time to reply back to my comments personally. It is not even addressed to me …… I won’t hold my breath whilst you make make another ‘excellent’ automated reply! ”
